About Komtek
How it all started
After many years as a researcher at FFI and SINTEF, manager Sture Smidt founded Komtek in 1995. Smidt has a degree from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stocholm (1988), as M.Sc. in Auronautics, followed by a Tekn.Lic .in curved sandwich beams (1993). His passion for mathematics and analysis, and his expert knowledge on steel and composite materials, form the basis of the company.
Expansion:
Today Komtek AS has three permanent employees, in addition to Sture Smidt.
Siri Karaciga started in Komtek the summer of 2006. Siri does technical drafting, accounting, marketing and secretary duties.
Magne Hegstad started in Komtak AS the 1st of september 2008. He has his diploma from B. Eng. Mechanical Engineering ved University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Scotland.
